The American people have spoken. Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats have ignored them. Through the month of August, the American people let Members of Congress from both parties know that they didn’t want a government takeover of health care. That hasn’t changed.

But instead of listening to the American people, Democrats hid behind closed doors and came back with a bill designed to appease the liberal special interests. Three things about Speaker Pelosi’s health care bill are already clear: it will raise the cost of Americans’ health insurance premiums; it will kill jobs with tax hikes and new mandates; and it will cut seniors’ Medicare benefits. The fact that it weighs in at nearly 2,000 pages – more than 620 pages longer than the government takeover of health care Hillary Clinton proposed in 1993 – is as good an indication as any of just how costly and unsustainable Speaker Pelosi’s proposal is.

2011 Medicare Part B PREMIUM Why the different rates?

Question by Robert: 2011 Medicare Part B PREMIUM Why the different rates?
According to medicare.gov the standard medicare part B premium for 2011 is either 96.40, or 110.50 or 115.40 per month. What is the reason for the difference? I live in Ohio and will pay 110.50, my neighbor who lives in PA will pay 96.40. We are both retired, have no other income and are 67 years old.

Best answer:

Answer by HNY
The rates vary because of income and for late buy-in for Medicare Part B.
If your income is above $ 85,000 (single) or $ 170,000 (married couple), then your Medicare Part B premium may be higher than $ 96.40 per month.
Your monthly premium for Part B may go up 10% for each full 12-month period that you could have had Part B, but didn’t sign up for it.

Free Prescription Medication Black Friday Deal Offers American Consumers Cost Relief

Winnipeg, Manitoba (PRWEB) November 22, 2011

Black Friday marks the busiest shopping day of the year, and the kick-off of the Christmas retailing season, and retailers both brick-and-mortar and online will be rolling out massive sales and promotions to entice consumers. What none of these deals will address are the spiraling costs of medication for American consumers, who already face the highest prescription drug costs in the world and saw in 2011 a price increase of an additional 7.2% on over a hundred of the top selling brand medications. In response to these high drugs costs, CanadaDrugs.com, the largest international mail order pharmacy provider is launching a weeklong Black Friday campaign where every single American will be eligible for free generic prescription medication.

The http://www.blackfridaydrugs.com campaign is designed give instant price relief in the form of free generic prescription medication, up to a $ 250 U.S value. CanadaDrugs.com, has been offering Americans an affordable alternative to their prescription costs for over a decade, and has filled over 6 million prescriptions. This Black Friday offer will introduce more Americans, who struggle with their prescription bill, to the opportunity and savings that online pharmacies offer their customers. Access to safe and affordable pharmaceuticals should be a natural right for all Americans, but it?s clear that too many Americans are being failed by a combination of government inaction and big pharmaceutical greed.

?The fact is that Americans are paying too much for their prescription medication. The rest of the world has access to more affordable drugs, and it?s unfair to U.S consumers that they?re forced to pay such high costs in comparison. I know that this free drug offer will appeal to hundreds of thousands of Americans and will help them stretch a budget that is being pushed to the brink by record high drug costs,? said Brock Gunter-Smith, Chief Business Development Officer for Canada Drugs. ?We hope that this offer will bring the people that take advantage back as regular customers because we?re confident our service, quality and dedication to patient health will convince them of our benefits, but even if it?s just a one time order, we?ll be happy to help someone save and spread the word that there are options out there to high U.S costs.?

Canada Drugs believes access to essential prescription drugs should be safe, convenient, and affordable for all. An extremely rigorous standard of patient safety and security is maintained. All orders, whether placed during this Black Friday offer, or over the rest of the year require a valid U.S prescription and the Canada Drugs staff of licensed, accredited pharmacists and technicians provide the same review and oversight as a local pharmacy. Canada Drugs is a certified member of the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA) the Better Business Bureau and is a 5 star rated pharmacy from PharmacyChecker.com.

The free Black Friday Drug offer will run from November 25th to December 1st and will provide up to $ 250 U.S worth of generic prescription medication to all new Canada Drugs patients. ?This offer has the potential to save Americans millions of dollars. I know that people are worried about how to stretch budgets, how to get by without adequate prescription coverage, or what to do when falling into the Medicare Part-D doughnut hole, and I know that $ 250 worth of free prescription medication will help anyone struggling to cope with the reality of too high U.S drug costs,? said Gunter-Smith.

New Book Reveals That God Is More Than a Good Idea

Centerville, OH (PRWEB) November 18, 2011

God has been described in many ways and has been labeled with many names. In Star Wars, the great series of science fiction movies, George Lucas called God ?the Force,? an impersonal but good God which Jedi knights could learn to use for the good of all creatures, human or alien. But however God is portrayed, author Michael Alex McDonald assures everyone that God is very real and that God Is More Than a Good Idea.

McDonald?s book points out a few crucial points that everyone needs to know about the Bible, the all-time best-selling book:

????First of all, it was written by people inspired by God.
????Second, this inspired book describes God as a perfectly loving parent who wants nothing more than to have an intimate relationship with the people God created.
????Third, the Bible describes God as Father, Son and Mother, one true God who is manifested in three persons as the holy trinity.
????And finally, this God was willing to become God with us through Jesus Christ

In God Is More Than a Good Idea, McDonald describes how to allow God to be more than a rational belief in your life. ?I?m excited about the book,? he says, ?because Jesus proved by his every word and action that he was God in the flesh. He simply did everything right. What was his reward for loving us? We tortured and killed him. What was his response to our hatred? He prayed from the cross, ?Father, forgive them because they don?t know what they are doing?.?

This book covers a lot of ground with the author sharing many of his own personal experiences as he talks about how one can become God?s friend. He believes that there is no point if God is only a good idea. A God who isn’t there and doesn’t care is like an absent parent, not only worthless, but cruel as well. God’s story is much more than another good story, and God is definitely more than an indefinable force, which people can learn ?to use for good.? The good news is that God came to our world to help people find love and peace.????????

Medicare eligibility?

Question by andrey_from_pa: Medicare eligibility?
Hello!
I’m 28 y.o male (disabled). Been living in USA since 1999. Recently received my Green Card. I use to receive SSI, but it’s been a year since I’m not anymore eligible to receive SSI (due to 7 year rule for immigrants). I have Medicaid insurance, but it won’t let me cover my new prosthetic legs. Can I possibly be eligible for Medicare and if yes, based on what criteria?

Thank you!

Best answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
To be eligible for Medicare, you must have paid into the system, and you must be either 65 or over, Disabled on SSDI, or in end stage renal failure.

Even if you’ve paid in during the years you’ve been in the USA, it’s likely not enough.

Q&A: How do I find out what was billed under my medicare number?

Question by esch789: How do I find out what was billed under my medicare number?
I am a physician working for a group. The head of the group does not let me see what was billed to or paid by medicare for my services. How do I find out what was billed under my medicare number last year?

Best answer:

Answer by kayjoe25
Medicare should have been sending you statements of what went where. All you have to do is call Medicare and they can tell you or they can send you a copy. The copy comes from someone else, the actual company that pays their portion.
